With a keen interest in supporting the transition to a more sustainable energy future, Duncan enjoys building solutions to complex problems as the nature of the electricity grid continues to evolve.  He has over a decade of experience in the distributed energy industry and plays a senior role on the Generac Grid Services product management team delivering virtual power plant (VPP), distributed energy resource management system (DERMS), and electric vehicle solutions. Working in partnership with Generac Grid Services’ clients around the globe, Duncan has led the market and trading product lines of the company’s software. His work enables VPP operations in wholesale and balancing reserve (ancillary service) energy markets – including the FCR, aFRR, mFRR and intra-day markets in Europe.  Duncan received a Master of Engineering from the University of Victoria, Canada. Outside of work, Duncan enjoys staying active mountain biking, skiing, paddleboarding and golfing, as well as playing the guitar and drums or going to see live music shows.
