Eric leads cross-functional teams across Generac that develop and manage virtual power plant offerings that leverage home batteries, home standby generators, thermostats, industrial generators, and numerous other DERs to deliver grid services to utilities and in RTO/ISO markets.
Before joining the Generac Grid Services team, Eric worked at Xcel Energy developing and launching innovative demand management pilots, including projects focused on home batteries, electric vehicle managed charging and non-wires alternatives. One of Eric’s managed charging pilots, Charging Perks, was a finalist in SEPA’s 2022 Utility Transformation Program of the Year category. Eric also spent nearly a decade at Rocky Mountain Institute advising companies, utilities, and governments on low-carbon energy strategy and co-authoring an electricity-focused chapter in the book Reinventing Fire. Outside of work, he spends his time hanging with family, convincing his family to head into the mountains, and soaking up the sun on a bike, run, or swim.
